The Name:
The brand «ROLLING STONES» belongs to the guys. The ROLLING STONES equals to
artistic producing, equals to suffering in the early years, and today, to
incognizable, massive success. They matched the groove of black Mississippi
Rhythm ‘n Blues with the flavor of white middle and upper classers. Alongside
other bands. Nevertheless, it has been the Stones’ staying power upon all other
antagonists in this league. All ensembles of the British Beat invasion,
competing the Stones in the charts during the mid-1960s, passed away, or, are
still touring in some curious line-ups.
The Stones always did their own thing, so they did with their brand ROLLING
STONES. They carefully keep their eyes on that. Therefore we are proud to accept
that, and we won’t call our museum Rolling Stones Museum or anything similar to
that. But we call it «THE ZIGGENPUSS COLLECTION».
In 1969 the band had been touring North America. Sometimes they put up in simple
motels. To stay anonymous they made their reservations using pseudonyms. Keith
Richards called himself Count Ziggenpuss.
